Who We Are

Guiding Eyes for the Blind is an internationally recognized guide dog school headquartered in Yorktown Heights, New York, with regional sites in twelve states from Maine to North Carolina. Our family of professionals, volunteers, and donors are committed to giving our students the gift of greater personal freedom, independence, and dignity by providing them the finest bred and trained guide dogs in the world.

The Richmond region of volunteer puppy raisers includes families, singles, and students from the Richmond metro area including Mechanicsville, Midlothian, Goochland, Henrico and as far away as Louisa County & Charlottesville. This hardworking group of volunteers is dedicated to the mission of teaching these pups good house manners and providing opportunities for socialization in a loving and supportive environment.
